Kerala Style Grilled Fish

Tilapia fillet pieces are grilled to perfection using "fish fry" spices typically used in Kerala Style fish fry.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Fillet Tilapia skinless boneless frozen, thawed
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1-½ tsp Paprika
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Onions minced dehydrated store bought
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tbsp oil plus a little extra for brushing
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Mix all the ingredients except fish to prepare the marinade.
  • Cut the thawed fillet into 1" pieces.
  • Marinate the fish pieces using prepared marinade for about 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 400 degree Fahrenheit.
  • Line a baking tray with aluminium foil. Brush oil. Layer the fish slices making sure they do not overlap.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes till the fish is cooked. Kerala style grilled fish is ready to serve.
  • If you like the fish a little crunchy, broil at 500 degree Fahrenheit for 5 minutes. Keep checking intermittently, because fish slices may brown very fast at this stage.
