Homemade pop corn


Watching a movie without popcorn? Criminal!! Enjoy these subtly salty, colorful popped corn kernels with your favorite movie or munch them when reading a book.

  • ¼ cup Corn Kernels
  • 1 tsp Canola oil
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric


  • In a small bowl, mix corn kernels, salt, oil and turmeric.
  • Transfer it to a brown bag and fold the bag over twice (each fold about an inch wide). Close the bag tightly, but do not seal it.
  • "Pop" the brown bag into the microwave and microwave for 2 minutes. When the popping slows down, you can stop microwaving.
  • Transfer to bowl, and enjoy your snack.
