APPLE DATES MILKSHAKE - HEALTH BENEFITS
Apples come in a variety of colors and flavors and extremely nutritious! They are rich in fiber, mineral and vitamins and are extremely beneficial to your health. They are low in sodium, fat and cholesterol making them a heart healthy food. With just about 100 calories per apple, they are an healthy alternative to junk food.
Apples are part of the EWG's dirty dozen - which ranks the fruits and vegetables with the highest concentration of pesticides. I recommend buying organic apples for this reason.
Dates are also rich in minerals and anti-oxidants and act as natural sweeteners in this recipe. I always buy pitted dates from Costco and store in the refrigerator.
